Stewards of the Archive
The People Archive exists with a long-term commitment:
to preserve human presence beyond platforms, trends, and commercial cycles.
This commitment requires care.
The individuals and institutions listed here act as Stewards of the Archive — not as owners, sponsors, or decision-makers, but as guardians of its continuity.
What It Means to Be a Steward
A Steward supports the People Archive in its mission to remain accessible, independent, and preserved over time.
Stewardship does not grant:
- editorial control
- influence over records
- visibility privileges
- preferential treatment within the archive
All records remain equal.
Stewardship exists solely to ensure that the archive itself can endure.
Forms of Stewardship
Stewardship may be undertaken by both individuals and institutions.
Support may include:
- financial contributions beyond the standard symbolic registration
- long-term infrastructure support
- operational or archival assistance aligned with the values of the archive
No form of stewardship alters the integrity, neutrality, or permanence of the records.
Recognition
Stewards are acknowledged publicly as part of the historical record of the archive.
Recognition is intentionally minimal and uniform:
- names are listed without hierarchy
- no logos, slogans, or promotional language
- entries are recorded chronologically
This page is not a display of influence, but a record of care.

An Invitation
The People Archive welcomes support from those who share a commitment to long-term preservation, restraint, and neutrality.
Stewardship is not an act of promotion.
It is an act of responsibility.
The People Archive is not sustained by attention, growth, or scale.
It is sustained by care.
The Stewards listed here ensure that the archive can continue to exist — quietly, independently, and over time.
